The image of the Los Angeles Clippers began to change in the 2005-2006 season. Powered by Elton Brand, the team finished 47-35 and secured the franchise's first playoff berth since 1997. Los Angeles Clippers Tickets were in demand. That team defeated the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs and advanced to a series against the Phoenix Suns. Clippers Tickets were hard to get for what turned out to be an incredible 7 game series, that was hard fought and contentious. The Suns outlasted the Clippers, but Clippers fans were thrilled with the direction of the team and the nucleus that was in place. Brand, Corey Maggette, and Chris Kaman were the centerpieces of that team, and still are the core of the Clippers organization.
Despite the fact that injuries to Brand and young future superstar Shaun Livingston have beset the franchise in recent years, the pieces are still in place, and Clippers fans want nothing more than to pack the Staples Center and get this team back on the winning track. Just Great Tickets is the number one source for your Los Angeles Clippers Tickets.
The Clippers began in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves. The team's first head coach was Hall-of-Famer Dolph Schayes, the franchise's first star players were Bob Kauffman and Don May, who were acquired in the expansion draft. Fans wanted tickets badly when the team finally made its first playoff appearance in 1973-74, where they faced the Boston Celtics in the first round and lost in six games. The next year, Clippers Tickets were hot as Bob McAdoo was awarded the NBA Most Valuable Player Award, averaging 34.5 points, 14.1 rebounds and 2.12 blocks per game. The Braves made a trip to the playoffs in the 1974-75 season and again during the 1975-76 season, which would be one of their last in Buffalo. They moved to San Diego, California after the 1977-78 season, and became the San Diego Clippers.
In the team's first season in San Diego, the Clippers posted a winning record, going 43-39, under new head coach Gene Shue, and fan supports was great -- San Diego fans wanted Clippers Tickets. However, that record was not good enough to advance them to the post-season, finishing two games out of the final playoff spot. As it turned out, it would be the Clippers' last winning season for 13 years, and only winning season before the team moved to Los Angeles in 1984.
Upon the move to Los Angeles, Clippers Tickets were coveted despite the fact that the Clippers were mired in futility. The Clippers' fortunes were down until midway through the 1991-92 season, when the Clippers made yet another coaching change, but this one worked out in their favor. Larry Brown, who was fired by the San Antonio Spurs weeks before, was hired as the team's head coach in late January 1992. Brown finished the season with a 23-12 mark, for an overall record of 45-37. It was the franchise's first winning season in 13 years (their first in Los Angeles), and Los Angeles fans embraced the team and bought Clippers Tickets. The Clippers advanced to the playoffs for the first time in 16 years, but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Utah Jazz, 3-2.
Larry Brown's departure would prove to send the Clippers right back into the cellar. Over the 1990s and 2000s, until the acquisitions of Brand, Maggette and Kaman, the Clippers shot air-balls in the draft and free agency. Michael Olowokandi, Darius Miles and Quentin Richardson are examples of first round draft picks that did not even come close to panning out. Even bringing in Hall-of-Fame players such as Dennis Johnson, who won three NBA championships and former Laker great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as assistant coaches, in an attempt to help their young players out with their growing pains, failed. The Clippers would have some of the worst years in NBA History, including a record of 15-67 in 1999.
Now, however, the excitement is back for the Clippers. Coach Mike Dunleavy and a solid core of players have Clippers Tickets hot again and the city of Los Angeles abuzz for two teams. Clippers Tickets are always hard to come by, but Just Great Tickets has all the action, from opening night to the NBA Finals. Turn to us for those hard to get Los Angeles Clippers Tickets.
